If you’ve known us as One Loose Tooth or Mountain Dental, you’re in the right place. We’ve brought both names under one roof. The location, the team, the phone number, and the philosophy are the same. We see kids and adults. We’ve always done both. Now our website reflects that.

At Mountain Dental, we treat the mouth like it's connected to the rest of you. Because it is.
We believe a tooth is part of a body, and a body is part of a person, and what we do at this practice has consequences for all three. So we use materials we’d be comfortable with in our own families, and we treat each patient with their whole health in mind, not just the tooth in front of us.
We also don’t rush. A first visit here takes longer than what you might be used to, because we want to actually look at what’s happening, understand your history, and have a real conversation about what we find. That takes the time it takes. We’ve been practicing this way since 2017, and we plan to keep practicing this way for many more years.

For Adults
A dentist who explains what's happening, why it matters, and what your real options are.
We take time at every visit. We use BPA-free composite fillings, biocompatible ceramic and zirconia crowns, and ozone where it makes clinical sense. We’re IAOMT-certified for safe amalgam removal, and we never recommend a procedure you don’t need.
For jaw pain, headaches, and TMD, we coordinate care with Dr. Malori Tinsley at Well Balanced Body on the same day, in the same building. The bite, the cranial bones, and the airway are structurally connected, and treating one without the others rarely holds.
For Kids
A kids' practice built on earning a child's trust, one visit at a time.
That means working at your child’s pace rather than sedating around it. We explain every tool, use nitrous oxide only when it genuinely helps, and stay patient through the visits that don’t go smoothly. A 5-year-old who learns they can handle something difficult becomes an eighteen-year-old who isn’t afraid of the dentist.
For kids who need orthodontic work, we focus on the structural system, not just the teeth. With functional orthodontics, we can widen the palate, open the airway, and let the cranial bones, the bite, and the teeth develop in balance with each other.

Our approach is built on three commitments.
Materials matter.
We don't place mercury-based silver amalgam fillings. Our composites are biocompatible, our crowns are metal-free ceramic or zirconia, and we use ozone where it makes clinical sense. This is the floor of how we practice.
Airway-centered orthodontics with chiropractic care.
We treat orthodontics as airway and structural work, not just tooth alignment: tongue position, breathing, cranial balance, and tooth movement as one system, in children and adults. For the cases that need it, we coordinate directly with Dr. Malori Tinsley at Well Balanced Body, same building and same day.
Honest dentistry that treats the whole body.
We tell patients the truth about what we find and give them options instead of orders. We don't recommend procedures you don't need, and we explain the reasoning behind the ones we do. The mouth is connected to the rest of the body, and we treat it that way.

Dr. Alex Keith, DMD
Owner, Mountain Dental
Dr. Keith has practiced dentistry in Placerville since 2015. He came to the field by way of kinesiology, an early interest in nutrition and movement, and a grandfather who was a dentist before him.
What started as a kids’ practice has grown into a family practice that sees patients from the eruption of their first tooth into adulthood. He works alongside his wife, Dr. Malori Tinsley, at Well Balanced Body Chiropractic, where the two are building an integrated approach to jaw, airway, and structural health that neither field has fully developed alone.
